Yunoshimakan

Located up on Mt. Yunoshima, our venue is a 94 year old traditional hotel and bath house in Gero, Gifu Prefecture. It has a rich history, incorporates a blend of Japanese and Western architecture, and has been host to the Emperor and other members of the Imperial family.
Yunoshimakan's layout is sprawling and beautiful, an its staff is incredibly kind and accommodating. We invite you to explore the venue to the fullest and hope you will enjoy your stay!
Rooms

Amenities include:
Higher end rooms (other than Keizanso) will have additional amenities and larger/outdoor private baths.
Every guest booked will receive a full breakfast on the morning of the 27th. See dining page for more info.
Hot Springs

Gero is famous for its geothermal activity, which produces volcanically heated spring water for its hot spring baths. We highly encourage you to consider bathing in them.
Every room has its own small, private hot spring bath for you to enjoy, but Yunoshimakan also has large public baths (separated by gender, which are switched every day to allow guests to try both sides).
The outdoor public baths have indoor washing areas with toiletries and beautiful outdoor bath areas overlooking the town and its neighboring mountain range. Please wash yourself in the shower area before bathing.
It is expected that you bathe fully naked (no swimsuits). They are open until late at night and then again from early in the morning, so you will hopefully have many opportunities.
